When is this site going to get its new updates?

Is there any way to see who's looking at your photos?

We've got a slew of them coming up VERY soon. Most of the first round focuses a lot on speeding up the site quite a bit and a bunch of bug fixes; however, there will be some feature updates included in there as well (I don't have the list with me and we've been working on them forever, so I've forgotten what they all are ;-).

In any event, a second round will be coming hopefully within 4-7 weeks after the first round goes "live". These will be almost exclusively feature upgrades which should be much more noticeable than the first round updates.

I'll post back here when we've put up the first round of updates and list the updates that are included in there and the ones that are going into the second round updates.

Sorry for the extreme delay. This isn't the only site we run and two of the others in particular (plus inevitable summer vacations) have slowed down progress on ratemyeverything.net to a snail pace this summer. We are rectifying that presently. Thanks for your patience.

Ok. The latest round of updates are up. The majority of this set of updates were geared towards fixing bugs and speeding the site up as it was becoming very slow due to ever enlarging number of posts and steadily increasing traffic. Among the more interesting updates that didn't have to do with efficiency and bug fixes were:

*added a new "membership" sidebar module to allow for easy access to all our membership functions

*added social site updates

*added a "bookmarks" add-on to the member home pages

*added a "polling" add-on to the member home pages

*added a "slide show" add-on to the member home pages

*upgraded the forum

The next round of updates will include a lot more interesting stuff. This round was more focused on bug fixes and speeding up the site to accommodate the steadily heavier traffic, which was causing the site to run painfully slow.

Some more updates:

*added a "gallery view" to all browsing pages.

*re-worked the homepage and "Recently Popular" system

*re-worked the rating system to now being a thumbs up / thumbs down system

*added previous / random / next buttons to the post pages

*continued updates to decrease page load times.

*a handful of bug fixes.

Plenty more on the way. :-)
