Our goal at RateMyEverything.net is to create a free resource where people can come to get "real people" ratings and reviews on everything out there, be it products companies manufacture, vacation spots, restaurants, people, anything.
We invite you to browse our site and submit your ratings, reviews, and post items to be rated and reviewed by others.
F.A.Q.
1. Question: How do I post an item on RateMyEverything.net?
Answer: In order to add a post to RateMyEverything.net you must first become a member by clicking here. Once
registered and logged in, look to see if the item you want to post is already submitted. If so you can
add a "review" to the existing post. If not just click on the "Submit Post" button on the right bar. For more information go here.
2. Question: How do I get my post featured on RateMyEverything.net?
Answer: Simply email our marketing department here and we will review your post. Features are on a first
come first server basis. We will not feature a post that is found to have adult content, so don't try. Length of time a post can be featured
is entirely based on member feedback and response.
3. Question: How do I remove a post I've added?
Answer: Browse to your profile page ("Your Page" on the top linkbar). Next scroll down and find the post you want to remove in your "posts" module. Finally, if you are logged in you should see a "Remove" link next to your post. Click that link and it will remove the post from rate my everything.
4. Question How do I store my favorite posts in my account?
Answer: In order to add a post to your account, simply go to the posts main page and click the "Add to Favorites" button. Once you have done this
the post feed will be added to your favorites, which then is displayed on your personal RateMyEverything page, when you are logged in.
5. Question: What are tags and why do all the posts have them?
Tags are keywords. Each post on our site has tags, or keywords, attached to it that were added by the users who added the post to our archive.
We use tags on RateMyEverything because tags are an easy way to keep things organized as long as they are used correctly. For example, if you are posting something that deals with Japanese cuisine, you can add the tags, 'Japanese', 'cuisine', 'food', etc to your post. Likewise, if you are searching for a particular post, you can just browse the tags for the subject that you are looking for.
Tags make searching and categorizing more flexible. Instead of having to post your item only into a predetermined category, you now have the freedom to put your post into your own category that more accuratley describes what you are submitting.
6. Question: How does RateMyEverything's rating system work?
Answer: Our rating system is a "three tiered" system. First users can rate and review posts directly on a post's page, via a "starred" system.
The higher the rating, the higher a post appears in search results. Second users can rate a post on a 1-10 scale by clicking on the subsequent buttons on the post's page.
Third, a post with more views is given a higher ranking by our system.
7. Question: How do I add modules to my profile page?
Answer: Login then browse to your profile page. On the upper right hand side of your profile page you should see an "Add Stuff" button. Click on the button and add away!
8. Question: How do I restrict what people can see on my profile?
Answer: Login then browse to your profile page. On the upper right hand side of your profile page you should see an "options" link. Click on the link and then you will see a "privacy" link. Click on that and you can set privacy options for your profile and modules in your profile.
9. Question: What kind of bear is best?
Answer: Dwight: That's a rediculous question.
