HP Pavilion dv6000t Laptop

Five months ago I purchased an HP Pavilion dv6000t Laptop for about $1000. I have been very pleased with this laptop.

My laptop has the following specs:

CPU: T5200 1.60Ghz (Dual-Core Intel(R))
RAM: 1.5 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 (256MB)
Hard Drive: 80GB 5400RPM SATA Drive

It also has wireless with Bluetooth, extended 12 cell battery, Vista Premium, and an 8X CD/DVD Burner with Light-Scribe.

Overal, I am very pleased with this laptop. With the extended battery I can get 4-6 hours of battery life, depending on monitor settings and things like that. I also highly recommend the extended 12 cell battery due to the fact that it sticks out a bit at the back and makes a nice handle for carrying, and more importantly elevates the laptop about an inch of the table in the back. This helps keep the laptop nice and cool.

Even if you don't have the extended battery, this laptop runs cooler then any laptop I’ve ever had. The only part that gets hot is where the hard drive is, but it's not uncomfortably hot. My two previous laptops used to get so hot that they would burn me if I touched the bottom. This laptop doesn't really ever get hot.

It has only one fan, which makes it run very quite. The fan almost never turns on. It sits directly below the CPU in the back.

This laptop also has a very bright screen and a nice shiny finish (HP Imprint Finish). I also like the little "accessory" buttons, which are actually just little lights that are solid and are touch sensitive "buttons".

You can also get a built in camera and mic on the screen, which I chose not to do. The laptop also comes with a little remote for controlling it with media center and has a nice little slot on the side of the laptop which it fits in.

And the number one thing I like about this laptop is it's cheap cheap cheap :-)

An equivalent laptop from dell or gateway at the time when I bought this laptop was about $500 more then I paid HP for this computer.
