Brazilian fashion model Ana Carolina Reston.

Reston has worked as a fashion model in Japan, Brasil, and has done work for Giorgio Armani and the Brazilian model agency L'Equipe.

Reston died on Tuesday November 14, 2006 at the age of 21 of complications resulting from anorexia.

Reston weighed only 88 pounds (40kg) and was about five feet eight inches tall (1.72 meters), the normal weight for a 12 year old that is only 5 feet tall.

Reston's body-mass-index, which takes into account height and weight, was just 13.5. The World Health Organization considers anyone with a BMI below 18.5 to be underweight. A BMI below 15 is an indication of starvation.
