The Cilantro Grill in Lahaina is a very cool place to eat if you're in Maui. It wasn't at all what I expected at first as far as atmosphere goes. I assumed that it was going to be more of a sit down restaurant. Instead, it had more of a fast food restaurant feeling.

The atmosphere, however, has nothing to do with my perception on th equality of their food. The owner (and chef) is a very cool guy and while we were eating our meal, he came by with a new recipe that he was working on (the shrimp chile rellenos). He let us sample it and asked what we'd be willing to pay for it and in general asked how our vacation was going. Very laid back, cool guy. The food has a great flavor. He uses real spices and herbs to flavor his food, creates all of the recipes on the menu and then has his staff prepare them as he's instructed.

It's a really cool place and definitely worth it if you are looking for another restaurant to enjoy in Maui.
