The Grand Wailea in Maui is an amazing resort. Situated on 40 acres fronting spectacular Wailea Beach on the southwest shore of the island of Maui, the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa is a 35-minute drive from the Kahului Airport.

The resort has 780 guestrooms, including 52 suites. The Napua Tower offers 100 rooms in a private club-area situated at the center of the hotel, featuring dedicated concierge services with upgraded guest room accommodations. Grand Wailea Resort’s guest rooms are well designed and spacious, ranging from 640 square feet to 5,500 square feet.

The resort has 5 restaurants on the premise and 3 bars to choose from. Eating here isn't too bad of an idea...if you want to live it up. It's not cheap here, but there aren't too many less expensive options in the near vicinity either.

The swimming pool is awesome, too. We swam at night and there weren't any people in the pool. So, we had nearly a full acre of pool to ourselves.

My only complaint about the whole place is the amount of time that it took to get to your room. I swear that it's a 15 minute hike to the room. Forget thinking that valet parking is any faster. I waited at least that long for them to get my car and I had to pay the $15 fee. I figure that if I'm paying any money, it may as well be worth my while. Not here.
