The Samsung A737 is another of Samsung's slider designs with a nice user interface and plenty of features to keep users occupied and happy.

I'll start with the design of the phone. I love the slider that Samsung has developed. It's super easy to use with the phone open or closed. It has a very thin profile and is barely noticeable when in my pants pocket. The microSD card slot is nice to have on this phone because there is a handy mobile player that I'll talk about later. The buttons on the phone work well with the applications. There is a button for the music player for quick access to your music. Another button on the phone is programmable so that you can store shortcuts to your favorite applications on the phone. Mine are set to the camera, games and apps, calendar and the music player.

The thing that I don't like about the design is the way that Samsung charges their phones. A proprietary cord? Come on, guys. Everybody has a USB cord that they can plugin to a wall adapter or their computer to charge. Having this cord would allow users to transfer files to and from their computer much easier instead of having to buy another proprietary cord.

The user interface for the phone is nicely laid out. Most items are easy to find. The one thing that I was disappointed as far as applications was the voice dialing. I had another Samsung phone and loved the process for setting up voice dialing. I'm not sure why Samsung didn't put the same application on this phone, but they fell way short without adding this. The phone would be a much better phone with this feature.

I do like that they included the audio recorder. I use this to make my own ring tones. It's much nicer to take the music that you already have and create ring tones out of it.

The one thing that bugs me about the software apps is the amount of trials that come with the phone. A word to software developers out there: If my phone has data capability, why would I want to pay for an app when I could just get on the mobileNET and check the weather? Put more things like the Pac-Man game on there!

The voice quality is good. I've had zero problems hearing people while talking on the phone. The volume is more than sufficient for me.

Overall, this phone is a very good phone. I would recommend that anyone who wants to be able to check email, listen to music, take photos and video and text their friends get this phone.
